This is my humble home on the world-wide web. There's not much content here because I haven't got around to put anything interesting on it yet. In the meanwhile, you can check out my weblog over here or email me at y on yaserzt \x2E com.
This has been my homepage from April 2007 and I plan to ultimately move all my online-able and share-able information to it. From my movie/music list to my project repositories and my blog. Also, if you are in need of web-space/bandwidth for a FOSS project, or anything that you think I might be interested in, please feel free to contact me. I have some free gigs of space and bandwidth and I hate it to go to waste.
In case it may interest you, I am a computer programmer and a nerd. I write anything from device drivers to web-based 3-tier applications, using x86 assembly, C++ or Python, among other things. I'm not seeking employment right now, not even a part time job, unless it's really interesting or challenging or high-paying (in that order,) and then only as a consultant or a part-part-time job.
Right now, I'm living in Tehran, Iran and working for Fanafzar Game Studios, a part of Fanafzar Co.. We are finishing up our first computer game, called Garshasp. I am one of the senior programmers, developing our own engine and technology. It's fascinating work and I'm priviledged to work with talented and cool people.
My areas of interest are:
I appreciate freedom and try to encourage it if I can. Therefore, I'd be happy to send and receive email in signed and encrypted form. However, due to embarrassingly and depressingly low rate of stong cryptography adoption in email communication, I usually have to resort to only signed email (if that.) Anyways, here is my public key as an OpenPGP file. My key ID is 0xEB01A31E. If you are curious, I use a combination of Mozilla Thunderbird, Enigmail and GNU Privacy Guard (GPG for short) to protect my own and others' email privacy. You might want to consider doing so too.
