I guess so. The bad part was that by some misfortune (that I don't believe in) we had that problem exactly at the end, when there is no judge response. Otherwise it would have needed 10 seconds to correct an "output format error".

The problem statement was clearly unclear (so many people complaining about it.) They told us that this was the same for all the teams and that we should not argue about that. But I don't see how that can be the case, as all the ones that had similar problems just got their lucky "output format error" and had fixed the problem, with a time penalty of course.

This gets more "funny" if you take into account that we were 30 minutes ahead of the second team that made it to the final, with one fewer accept.

That was really funny! But I'm sure it was quite the opposite right after the contest! Tell me now, this wasn't by any chance the problem E you were talking about, was it?
And maybe we all say the same thing because we are a good team!

For me, it is like bitter then, sweet and bitter now. I don't know if you have seen this really old post of mine:
http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-YjgwYDI8dq8HKmpWliyQ8xn1Dg--?cq=1&p=74

About your team, I should say that all of you say merely the same thing! I remember talking to Ehsan several times, and he would say that it's "all" because of you and Ms. Elahi.

@Mohsen Etezadi:
I think I know which booklet you mean, but it was not written by Dr. Ghodsi. It was done by Mohammad Hossein Bateni, one of the problem-setters that year (the 2005 regional.) And I don't think there's any "ارادت" in it, just some indirect quotes from discussions on the blog or mailing list.
But you don't know me, and you can't even be sure I'm a half-decent programmer. Comparing Alan Turing with me? That just makes me dismiss what you've written as joke! After all, I have nothing in common with him except a taste for sour apple!

@Mahdi:
I think he must've meant our 2004 team, Ms. Maryam Elahi, Dr. Ehsan Adeli Mosabbeb, PhD! ( :D ) and me. One of the best times of my life in retrospect, those few weeks. Very bitter then, but very sweet now.
But in my opinion, any "greatness" you mention in our team was a combination of great teammates and a measure of luck. I myself have never been able to solve any medium or hard problems in a contest at all! I can only code relatively easy problems moderately quickly, and that only in the first 2 or 3 hours of a contest. Any teamwork, plan, coherence, goal and organization that have existed in the teams I've been part of, and any medium and hard problems we've ever solved, have been the contribution of my teammates. Basically, I can never automatically act as part of a team, unless I'm made so.

I also recall him talking in great words about "the" team from Azad University of Mashad, referring to you guys as his "favorites". You sure were a great team at that time (and you still would be if you could have a team now.)

This is news to me! I didn't know Dr. Ghodsi even knew my name, let alone write about me or have any respect for me! Are you sure? Can you give me a link or something?
